The short version: SecureLink is built so that we, the people who make it, never see the documents you share or who you share them with. What follows is the honest, complete list of what little we do collect, and why.
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address | To sign you into the free-credits/paid account system (a one-time code, no password) | Our database (Supabase), access-controlled |
| Credit balance and purchase history | To run the free/paid link-credit ledger honestly, including refund lookups | Our database (Supabase) |
| Payment metadata (amount, date, which product) — not card details | Required by Stripe to process a purchase and by us to credit your account correctly | Stripe, and a reference in our database |
We use two processors to run the parts of SecureLink that need a server at all — account sign-in and payment. Neither can see your documents, because your documents never reach either of them.
We don't sell or share your data with anyone else, and we don't use it for advertising.
Account and credit-ledger data is kept for as long as your account exists, plus what a reasonable accounting/dispute-resolution period requires afterward. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time — see contact below.
You can use the software with zero account at all if you never touch the paid/free-credit features (the operator's own local build, and any copy with billing turned off, needs no account for anything). If you do create an account, you can request a copy of what we hold on you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us.
